Mrs. Sydney Coleman

First Grade

 

I’m Sydney Coleman and this will be my third year teaching at STREAM. I absolutely love teaching 1st grade! I am looking forward to another incredible year of learning! 

 

In Spring 2018 I graduated CSU Chico with a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies. In the fall of 2020, I returned to pursue my multiple subject teaching credential. 

 

I have been married to my incredible husband for six years, we have two amazing children, a busy golden retriever, chickens, and a cat. I love spending quality time with my family riding bikes, enjoying nature, camping, fishing, and game nights. 

 

I grew up as an avid reader and writer! It’s an absolute joy to watch my students develop as writers and grow in their love of reading! My biggest goal as a teacher is to foster a love of learning! Our classroom will be a place where stories come alive, voices are welcomed in constructive conversations, and hands-on learning experiences will be encouraged! 

 

I look forward to making real life connections to our learning in first grade!
