Mrs. Jeannette Odetto

School Psychologist and Director of Special Programs

 

Hello! My name is Jeannette Odetto. I am excited to serve STREAM Charter School as special education director and school psychologist. Since childhood, I enjoyed the process of learning which developed into a love for education. I believe that the joy of learning is a fundamental right for everyone to experience. My beliefs and love for education led me towards working in special education.

            Originally, I moved to Chico from Southern California to attend CSU, Chico. I ended up loving Chico so much that I completed my undergraduate and graduate studies at Chico State (GO WILDCATS!). I completed a master's and credential program in Applied Psychology (School Psychology) which included three rigorous years of study, counseling internships, practicum, and internship. After completing my master's, I was employed by Glenn County Office of Education as an itinerate school psychologist and served as a member of the Educationally Related Mental Health Services (ERMHS) team. While I enjoyed my previous employment, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to join the STREAM team! STREAM’s mission is well aligned with my own values. I feel fortunate to serve the STREAM community.

            On a personal note, I live in Chico. I was able to convince my mom and younger sister to move to Chico (still working on my younger brother). On the weekends I enjoy hanging out with my family, watching movies, and reading.
