Miss. Lindsey Lindberg - Fifth Grade

My name is Lindsey Lundberg and I’m so ready for 5th grade!

I was born and raised in Chico in a sporty farm family. While we didn’t live on the rice farm, I spent a lot of time learning about plant science and being outdoors. I grew up playing soccer, basketball, street hockey, swimming, tennis, golf, and softball. I went to Chico High School and played field hockey, basketball, and ran track. I went to College of the Siskiyous to play basketball and run cross country at the collegiate level. Unfortunately, I had too many injuries to continue sports and decided to come back to Chico to attend college.

Aside from athletics, I have a lot of love for music. I learned piano in second grade and enjoyed making up my own songs. Originally, I was a music production major. After nannying for a couple months, I realized I loved working with kids and helping them with school. I decided to switch my major to Liberal Studies while attending Chico State. I graduated in 2019 and started the credential program at Chico State the following fall.

I was placed in Mrs. Imrie’s 3rd grade class for my fall semester of student teaching. I instantly loved STREAM! The family atmosphere and mindset of “what can we do to make this more fun and engaging for students?” reeled me in. When the opportunity to teach at STREAM presented itself, it was an immediate yes for me. I taught 7th grade last year and really enjoyed it.

When I’m not at STREAM, you can find me hiking, wakeboarding, snowboarding, playing with my dog, or behind a camera. I love photography and videography and am hoping to incorporate it in the curriculum. I’m looking forward to growing, collaborating, and having fun with my new students. It’s going to be a great year!
