Hello. Thank you for visiting our webpage.

We have been back to in-person instruction (with a few still distance learning) since the middle of October, with precautions and protocols in place. It has been a joy to see students and staff working together.

STREAM was again named an Honor Roll school as a school who is closing the achievement gap for students. Congratulations to our students and staff.

For those who are enjoying distance learning and wish to continue with this after this year, we have an Independent Study class - currently for Fifth through Eighth Grades, but we are adding Third and Fourth Grades next year and expanding to two classes (3-5 and 6-8). The class will have some in-person time, but mostly be taught virtually. This option is available on our applications.

Speaking of applications, we are at that point of the school year where we are accepting applications for the wait list to fill openings for next school year. Although one can apply to attend STREAM at any time, STREAM holds a lottery in March to create a wait list to fill any openings that occur during the following school year. Applications are available online on this page or can be obtained in the school office. Confirmation emails will be sent to all applicants within two weeks of submitting their application(s).

Lottery applications become available on the first school day in January and the lottery application period ends at 12:30pm on the second Friday in March. Completed applications received during this time are eligible for our public lottery. Siblings of enrolled STREAM students (living at the same primary address) will receive enrollment preference, but applications must be completed and received before the March 8 deadline to be eligible.  Current STREAM students DO NOT need to reapply.

The application lottery is a drawing to determine the order of students (by grade level) who will be placed on the wait list to fill any openings that may occur during the following school year.

Admission preferences shall be given to siblings of pupils currently attending STREAM and pupils who reside in the Oroville City Elementary School District, as required by Education Code section 47605(d), and students who are currently enrolled in or who reside in the elementary school attendance area of the Public elementary school(s) in which STREAM is located (for purposes of the Charter School Facility Grant Program).

The lottery is held publicly on a Saturday near the end of March.
