Physical Education at STREAM Charter School
At STREAM Charter School, our K-8 physical education program is a dynamic space where students explore movement, build skills, and develop healthy habits. Our curriculum is designed to meet California State Standards and National Standards for Physical Education, ensuring a well-rounded and comprehensive learning experience for every student.
Our program goes beyond just physical activity; it’s designed to address the whole child by focusing on their physical, cognitive, and social-emotional development. Through movement, we teach critical life skills and promote a healthy mindset that they can carry with them for a lifetime.
Some of our engaging activities include:
- Spikeball
- Volleyball
- Soccer
- Basketball
- Dance
- Pickleball
- Badminton
- Team Handball
- And much more!
Through these activities, our students gain competency in fundamental motor skills, learn to understand movement principles, and actively participate in physical activity to maintain fitness. We also emphasize responsible behavior and teamwork, fostering confidence and a love for physical activity that will stay with them for a lifetime.
Physical Education at STREAM Charter School supports students in building movement skills, physical fitness, healthy habits, and responsible participation. Students are encouraged to be Respectful, Responsible, and Safe in all activities.
