Mrs. Jessica Imrie

3-5 Tech

Hi! My name is Jessica Imrie and I am so excited for my eighth year at STREAM! This is my 18th year of teaching and I am very excited to continue my adventure of teaching and challenging 3rd-5th grade students in the STEM classroom.

I grew up a military brat, which forced me to move a lot and go to many different schools. It also gave me an opportunity to travel and live all over the country. I even went to kindergarten in Japan! Prior to moving to California, the longest place that I have resided was in Florida where I graduated high school and started college at The University of West Florida in Pensacola, Florida. In 2000 I moved to Sacramento to be closer to my immediate and extended family where I graduated from Sacramento State in 2003 and began working at a small preschool where I fell in love with shaping and educating young children’s minds. I then went back to school where I received my teaching credential from National University and have been teaching elementary school ever since.

I love to be outdoors! In my free time, I love to garden, read, roller-skate, yoga camp, hike, mountain bike, cross-country ski, and spend time with my family and friends. I’ve been married for twent years, and my husband Miles is from Washington State. We have an 18-year-old daughter named Isabel (Izzy) who graduated from STREAM and attends Butte College.

I am looking forward to a great year of learning, challenging, teaching, and guiding third-fifth graders teaching technology at my STREAM home. I can’t wait to see what the year brings!
