Dr. Don Phillips - Director
Dr. Don Phillips (Director) is the founding director of STREAM. He has spent 35 years working with students in various capacities. Before starting STREAM, he was a principal in OCESD for five years and has also served elsewhere as an elementary, middle, and high school principal, as well as a university professor and graduate programs director. Don has taught first, fourth, and seventh grade students in self-contained classrooms and science, history, literacy, and ELD in middle school classrooms. He has been a basketball coach, student council advisor, technology director, mentor teacher, literacy coach, and distance learning coordinator. Don was also the principal of one of the first NASA Explorer Schools in the country and a member of SIRC 8 (Science In Rural California) Project. He has served on leadership teams and boards of several non-profit organizations, including serving as a member of the Oroville Union High School District board. Don has a Master's Degree and Doctorate in Education Administration.
