Mrs. Kim Tietz

Hi! I’m Kim Tietz. After serving the city of Oroville for twenty-five years in the public school system, the move to STREAM restored my love and excitement for teaching. I am a Butte County native who grew up in Paradise, attended Chico State and married my high school sweetheart.  We live in Chico with our two young adult sons and a yellow lab. 

I have enjoyed teaching all grades K-6 and middle school art, but find early elementary to be my happy place. When I’m not in the classroom, I am creating with my camera, computer, paint, food, or fabric. As a family, we have fun visiting our national parks where we hike, fish, kayak and hope to see wildlife. What do we have in common?
