Mrs. Christin Huckabee
K-4 Resource
My name is Christin Huckabee, and I am an Education Specialist at STREAM. I am currently in my second year with the Special Education department and fourth year at STREAM. I have served in various roles at STREAM, including as a substitute teacher and an intervention specialist. I currently hold an Intern Credential, allowing me to teach while completing my credential in special education.
I am a passionate Special Education Teacher with a unique educational background that includes a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Sociology and Multicultural Studies, as well as a Master of Science in Higher Education. My deep understanding of social dynamics and cultural diversity enables me to create inclusive and supportive learning environments for students with special needs.
With a strong foundation in sociology, I am skilled at recognizing and addressing the social and cultural factors that impact student learning and behavior. My advanced studies in higher education further enhance my ability to advocate for students and navigate the complexities of educational systems.
After the Camp Fire in 2019, my family settled in Oroville, where we have found a welcoming community. I am a mother of two children who attend STREAM. In my free time, you might find me coaching my children’s sports teams, working on my hobby farm, or baking sourdough.
