School Closure Update February 14th
News: Mandatory Evacuation Order has been reduced to Evacuation Warning. Residents are allowed to return home. Workers have been shoring up the eroded areas and dropping the lake level. There is still the possibility of an issue. Be advised: This is not a guarantee that there will not be another evacuation. Be prepared and ready at all times. Particularly since a storm is coming. STREAM Charter School will remain closed for the rest of this week. We are joining with the rest of the schools in the community to remain closed through the end of this week and through our vacation week next week. STREAM Update February 13
STREAM is closed right now. As you know, our school is close to the river. I went down to the river the other day to see how we stood in relation to the river level and our status and it looked like we had a bit of room before we would get wet, but the river is running high. Oroville has been evacuated. All area schools are closed - in fact, the city is closed. We do not have any idea when the evacuation will be lifted or when schools will resume. Hi All, According to Oroville City Elementary School District, the Oroville Chief of Police has asked Oroville Schools to close tomorrow. We are following his advice. OCESD and area preschools are also closing. STREAM Charter School will be closed tomorrow, Friday, February 10, 2017. We are planning to be back at school on Monday, February 13. Thank you all.
