They toured the White House, met with Congressman Doug LaMalfa, visited the WWII Memorial, Ford's Theater, visited Arlington National Cemetery where they were privileged with participating in a wreath ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Solider, Martin Luther King Jr. memorial, Korean Monument, and the Lincoln Memorial. This just in! Our Eighth Grade class visited The Newseum today. They had the opportunity to try their hand at broadcasting, learned about what news makes the front page, enjoyed a great view of the White House, saw the CNN dish from the Twin Towers, part of the Berlin Wall, and they even found a little snow outside while waiting for the bus.
